Ship Index’s Elite Dangerous workspace uses the Coriolis v4.1.15 open-source outfitting engine and its live ship, module and engineering data. The interface is adapted for Ship Index. Elite Dangerous and its game data belong to Frontier Developments.

Heat & stealth research

The experimental thermal model independently implements the community-measured heat-balance equations documented by EDSY and the original Frontier forum research. Supplemental hull cooling and module heat-rate facts are sourced from Elite Dangerous Almanac, which documents EDSY measurements and game audits. The model is not an official Frontier simulator; detection distances are not predicted.
